Room 1 in progress

those of you that used upland studios up until its closure in 2020 may be aware that work was about to start to turn the old Room 4 and the adjacent room into a recording studio, obviously due to the fact that upland studios never reopened, this never happened.

Since taking over the studios in June this year, work has been progressing towards brining this unfinished project to fruition. The building work in the space was largely complete but the bare walls and lack of input towards the end of the building work had left the room completely unfit to even use as rehearsal space... it did however have untapped potential.

With some modifications to the layout, a lot of work invested into sound treatment and long thoughts about how to make it all work cohesively, Room 1 is finally coming along (see below pic for current progress)

The room is much more modern than the other rooms on site with features tailored specifically towards getting a clean sound uninhibited by room reverb and external noises, making it ideal for not only rehearsal, but also for recording.

The room will be ready to open for rehearsal space in January 2024 with recording facilities coming very soon afterwards
